About

Esperanza recognized that freedom of movement and pain-free existence were essential conditions for living in comfort and allowing us to achieve the goals we live for. That’s why she opened her own practice, Hope Physical Rehabilitation, in 2004.

Esperanza understood very early in her career that the only way to make a difference in her patient’s lives was through understanding how the complex human body must work to function effectively. That’s why she questioned existing treatment methodologies and continued to acquire advanced knowledge to plan her own treatment strategies. Because the body is connected in complex ways, it won’t be unusual for patients to see her for a problem in their shoulder and end up been treated in the hip as well; or to be skillfully manipulated in a superficial tissue to re-educate a specific circulatory system to manage inflammation.

Esperanza created HopeSmartFitness, an effective group physical Conditioning for older adults.

More recently, Esperanza created “Hope for Surgeons”, a special program where surgeons go to get better and to safeguard their most valuable asset-their physical and functional capacity to perform surgery in comfort, confidence and control. This is the first and only existing program in the country designed for this specific problem.

Esperanza enjoys travel, dance, vocal music, fly fishing, golf, designing her own exercise programs, basketball and soccer. She also works with kids displaced by violence in her native country of Colombia.
